Education is key to the development of society, especially in developing nations in Africa, as basic education is a privilege in most African countries. Having a system where education is a privilege has resulted in many young people becoming illiterate adults, which has impeded most African countries’ development. Providing literacy education in rural and urban poor settlements is critical if the communities are to prosper. The youth require basic skills in accounting, budgeting, income generating, agriculture, animal husbandry, home management, construction and maintenance trades, IT and computer skills, innovation, and the like. All these skills, though essential, require a considerable financial commitment and contribution to advance humanity.
